Painting Workshops with Ken Auster
Ken Auster conducts 3-day plein air painting workshops at his studio in
Laguna Beach and 5-day workshops out-of-town. Please see our calendar
for dates and locations.

* Understanding and simplifying shapes
* Laying down a foundation quickly and confidently
* Creating focal points and developing them
* Balancing cool and warm colors
* Creating atmospheric perspective
* Composition
* Developing an individual's ability

necessary supplies.
3 Day Workshop
Workshop starts promptly at 1:00 p.m. for lecture and demo.
Refreshments and snacks are available daily.
Day 1
1:00 p.m. - 5:00 or 6:00 p.m.
Eat prior to workshop or bring your own lunch
Please bring supplies for taking notes
Arrive between 12:45 and 1:00 p.m.
for parking, registration, seating, refreshments,
picking up supplies and meeting the other artists
Day 2
8:45 a.m. drive to designated location
9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. paint on location
1:00 p.m. lunch break (bring your lunch)
2:00 - 5:00 p.m. return to gallery/studio for lecture and demo
Day 3
8:45 a.m. drive to designated location
9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. paint on location
1:00 p.m. return to studio/gallery for lunch provided by Ken Auster
2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. lecture and demo
5 Day Workshop
8:45 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. daily
